Hiking Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
This
was our crew for our 4-day Inca Trail hike.
The hike is over 30 miles and climbs more than 14,000 above sea level.
Crystal did great and was way ahead of almost all of the other hikers.
She could have a future as a Peruvian porter!
Joe did pretty good, but was later told by a college-aged girl
that his huffing-and-puffing and weezing up the mountain was "cute".
This is what it looks like when you are getting near to the top of the
highest peak.
Crystal meditates at 14,000 + feet
When you finally get to Machu Picchu you feel fantastic and the ruins
are amazing...
But then a big bus comes and lets off a bunch of fat tourists,
and you feel like smashing them with your hiking stick!

Peruvians don't make very good basketball players.
And in case you forgot, Crystal had her graduation ceremony here while
our fellow hikers cheered.
This
was one of the best trips of our lives!
